Students who enroll at Magdalen College desire to study works by the great thinkers, to acquire virtues and strengthen their moral character, to develop genuine lasting friendships, and to grow in their baptismal faith in Christ.
The College welcomes anyone with such desires to apply for admission and visit the campus. Come and attend classes, stay in the student residence, and get to know the students, tutors, and staff.
Since its founding, Magdalen College has set in place certain principles to ensure that an outstanding liberal arts education is accessible to qualified students. The College is committed to a limited student body of no more than 100 students to enable an all-encompassing education of the whole person to take place. Furthermore, in order to maintain the integrity of its Catholic liberal arts program, the institution does not accept any direct public funding—federal, state or local. Finally, to assist students and families in meeting tuition, room, and board fees, the College keeps its fees lower than most private colleges, and provides need-based assistance through its financial aid program.
